Designed as an affordable and sustainable family home to replace a single storey Post-War bungalow, typical to Five Dock, a series of courtyards are inserted into a linear layout to achieve the highest energy efficiency possible on the East-West facing site. The courtyards also allow for the garden to become an integral part of the home.

From the start of our new home project Sophie was responsive to our ideas and needs, coming up with a terrific design concept and following it through with excellent architectural drawings and interior details. 

She is very switched onto the sustainable building industry and was always willing to research new product and material ideas to match our desired budget and quality criteria. 

She helped and advised us all the way through the project and has been a wonderful collaborative design partner. The finished house is an amazing 8-star thermal rated home that is efficient to heat and cool and is our beautiful family sanctuary, thanks Sophie!
